Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
This is a leadership role that involves planning, coordinating and executing large-scale civil construction works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring outcomes are safe, compliant and commercially successful.
The project requires the ability to develop construction programs, schedules and procurement strategies to meet project timelines. Additionally, the candidate must be able to monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) across cost, schedule and quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the engineering planning and delivery of project works in line with contractual, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Develop construction programs, schedules and procurement strategies to meet project timelines.
• Monitor performance against KPIs across cost, schedule and quality metrics.
• Manage technical clarifications, variations and contract administration in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to engineers, including performance reviews and development planning.
• Oversee project cost control, tracking actuals against budgets, and assist with financial reporting.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, environment and quality requirements, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Support ongoing reporting, forecasting and productivity tracking in line with company project management systems.

• To be successful in this role, you will have the essential qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with 10-15 years preferred.
• Proven ability in project financials, cost control and subcontractor management.
• Familiarity with health and safety, quality and environmental management systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to team development.
• Advanced planning, scheduling and resource coordination abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• High attention to detail, organisation and commercial awareness.
