Project Pumps & Irrigation are seeking a highly motivated person to join our team. This is a full time Monday to Friday position located at our Narangba premises.
As the Bookkeeper Administration Officer your purpose is to provide high-quality service and support to senior management and the project team by performing a range of bookkeeper and administrative tasks and functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key duties:
- Bookkeeping tasks such as the preparation, lodgement, and payment of BAS, PAYG, QLeave, Workcover, ATO reporting, and superannuation
- Payroll processing and payment.
- Administer day to day financial matters (eg. daily reconciliation tasks, process payments, banking etc) as directed by the Finance Manager.
- Perform a variety of day to day administrative tasks that are routine in nature (eg., receiving phone calls, filing, archiving, maintaining stationery levels, housekeeping of the office and kitchen area etc).
- Provide responsive and time sensitive support tasks for Managing Director, General Manager, and Project Manager (eg. Coordinating travel and accommodation for staff, booking machinery and vehicle service and repairs).
Required skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years administration and bookkeeper experience
- Extensive use and understanding of MYOB.
- Demonstrated advanced level of word processing skills and knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal, problem solving, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and achieve own work goals through planning, prioritisation, and organisation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to new and unexpected events and appropriately escalate issues.
