The opportunity
Our Parks & Gardens Team are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Trades Gardener who shares their same passion for the Horticulture Industry to join their team! You will have a strong background in the safe operation of machinery and equipment, providing support to the Trades Gardener to ensure enjoyable, attractive and safe recreation facilities for the community.
The current working arrangement for this position is 38 hours over 4 days, working Tuesday – Friday each week. You get a long weekend all year round!

* This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week working Tuesday - Friday
* Base Salary Range: $63,606 to $68,979 pa based on 38 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,464 retention allowance
* You will be working from Raymond Terrace

* A certificate III in Parks & Gardens, Horticulture or equivalent or completing
* Demonstrated experience in horticulture activities including maintenance of reserves, trees, garden beds / landscaped areas and other grassed areas
* Effective communication skills
* Ability to work well within a team environment, and show initiative to get the job done when solo
