Technical Project Manager – TESS Search Partners
This role supports REDARC Electronics’ growth strategy by managing new product development projects from idea approval to production release. The Project Manager reports to the NPD Manager and works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Quality, Finance, Sales and external partners.
Base pay range
A$120,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr
Key responsibilities
* Own and manage assigned NPD projects from approval to production release
* Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Management Plans, schedules and forecasts
* Lead project governance, including Stage Gate reviews and key change events
* Manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources and risk registers
* Ensure delivery of approved product specifications and achievement of target CoGs
* Chair project meetings, including kick‑offs, reviews and completion milestones
* Coordinate and negotiate internal and external resources to support delivery
* Manage supplier and customer contracts, ensuring commercial readiness prior to project commencement
* Work closely with procurement, legal and commercial teams to align contractual obligations with project scope
* Monitor project performance, implement corrective actions and capture lessons learned
* Provide accurate project reporting to Operations, Project teams and Finance
* Contribute to R&D tax application documentation at financial year end
* Promote REDARC’s core values, safety standards and quality systems across all project activities
About you
* Degree-qualified in manufacturing management, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
* Proven experience delivering multi‑disciplinary new product development projects end to end
* Background in electronics or technically complex product environments
* Strong understanding of technical specifications, supplier and customer contracts
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, risk and change in complex environments
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
* Experience working cross‑functionally and leading project teams without direct reports
* Familiarity with structured project management systems and governance frameworks
* Knowledge of WHS requirements and a strong commitment to safety and quality
* Experience with Microsoft Project and technical or contractual documentation is advantageous
