**About the role**
The Executive Director, Office of Research Management (ED ORM) is the driving force behind the University's research mission, leading a large team of professionals (150+ FTE) in delivering exceptional pre
- and post-award grants management, contract support, finance, infrastructure, and governance services to academics. With a mission to elevate the University's research performance to new heights, the ED ORM will be an instrumental figure in building strategic relationships with national and international organisations, funders, and government agencies, leading the delivery of high-quality and efficient University-wide business services, driving excellence in research and shaping the University's future success. This role is the largest, most highly visible role of its type in the country.
**About you**
A values-driven executive leader with considerable industry profile, you have deep knowledge of Australia's research and higher education sectors, a global mindset and the ability to build meaningful relationships with academics and professional staff at all levels within world-leading institutions. You have outstanding communication, engagement and commercial skills, and the demonstrated ability to drive transformations within complex organisational environments.
