Job Title: Store Person
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Store Person, where you will play a key role in supporting railway operations by managing the efficient receipt, storage, distribution and control of all rail-specific materials, tools and equipment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Assist with Stocktake/Cycle Counting and Auditing Compliance: Ensure accurate stock levels and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Manage Documentation for PO Receipts, Conformance Certificates and Delivery Dockets: Organize and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods.
* Oversee Stock Storage Processes, Including Tagging, Boxing, and Labelling: Implement effective stock storage systems to optimize space and accessibility.
* Taking Delivery of Goods and Inspecting for Accuracy and/or Damage: Receive and inspect goods to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Filling Outgoing Orders, Packaging and Dispatching Materials: Prepare and dispatch goods to meet customer demands.
* Operating Lifting Gear or Forklift Machinery for Heavy Packages: Safely operate machinery to handle heavy packages.
* Distributing Materials to Maintenance Depots or Project Sites Using a Company Vehicle: Transport goods to various locations.
* Utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP Software: Effectively manage inventory and logistics using WMS/ERP software.
* Complying with Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Actively Participating in Safety Initiatives: Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety initiatives.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You Have:
Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills are required. Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is also necessary. A forklift licence and valid driver's licence are mandatory. Demonstrated alignment with our values is essential.
