The role of Academic Head, Nursing and Midwifery is a pivotal position that requires a visionary leader to shape the future of nursing and midwifery education in the tropics and beyond. 
As a senior academic, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and academic direction for nursing and midwifery programs, driving innovation in curriculum design, teaching, and research, mentoring and supporting academic staff and students, and building strong partnerships with healthcare providers, industry, and community organisations.

Key Responsibilities: 
Provide strategic leadership and academic direction for nursing and midwifery programs. 
Drive innovation in curriculum design, teaching, and research. 
Mentor and support academic staff and students. 
Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, industry, and community organisations. 
Champion outcomes that improve healthcare in regional, rural, and remote communities. 
Requirements: 
A postgraduate qualification and current registration as a Nurse (Division 1) and/or Midwife with AHPRA. 
Proven academic leadership in teaching, research, and service. 
A commitment to excellence in nursing and midwifery education. 
A collaborative mindset and a drive to mentor others and foster innovation.
