We are seeking a Commercial Manager to drive strong commercial performance across procurement, supplier management, supply chain support and commercial governance.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the COO and site leaders, this role combines hands-on commercial delivery with the opportunity to design and implement improved commercial processes and standards. You will lead day-to-day procurement activity while also delivering selected commercial improvement initiatives endorsed by the executive team.
This role will be Perth-based but may require some travel to our operating sites in Christmas Island, WA & Ardmore, QLD.
Key Responsibilities
As Commercial Manager, you'll partner closely with Site General Managers and leadership teams to:
* Lead day-to-day commercial and procurement activity, supporting site leaders to ensure continuity of supply, cost control and purchasing discipline.
* Manage strategic sourcing, supplier onboarding, contracts and commercial documentation.
* Begin shaping procurement principles and early-stage commercial standards for consistency and efficiencies across the organisation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, driving performance, value and risk management.
* Provide commercial insight, reporting and analysis to the CFO, COO and executive team.
* Support commercial governance, delegations, compliance and audit requirements.
* Provide commercial oversight of supply chain, warehousing and inventory practices, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
* Support tenders, pricing models and commercial evaluations for new and existing contracts.
* Lead or contribute to approved commercial improvement initiatives, including procurement optimisation, supplier consolidation, inventory and working capital improvements, and process or system enhancements.
* Partner with stakeholders across sites and functions to embed improved commercial practices.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in procurement, commercial management or supply chain support in the mining and/or construction industry.
* Strong analytical, evaluation and commercial judgement skills.
* Experience contributing to or leading improvement or transformation initiatives.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and coordinate across multiple functions.
* Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with strategic improvement work.
* Degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement or similar (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in project delivery, commercial analysis or process improvement is desirable.
