Overview
Caval Ridge is in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. We are seeking CHPP Operators to work a 7 on 7 off rotating day and night shift roster.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the Coal Handling Prep Plant (CHPP)
- Perform production tasks including inspections, troubleshooting of production issues, machinery operation and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards
- Assist maintenance team as needed for breakdown maintenance repairs
- Identify and rectify hazards, damage and defects
- Ensure all incidents, breaches, near misses and hazards are reported
- Cultivate positive relationships with all key stakeholders through effective communication and consultation
- Actively take part in the BHP Operating System (BOS) to improve processes and remove waste from the business
About You
- Prior work experience in coal handling and processing or other minerals processing
- Previous authorisations/qualifications for CHPP RIIPRO301D, RIIMCP301D, RIIWBP203D or RIIPRO302D
- Mechanical or Electrical trade background (preferred)
- A commitment to safe working practices and an improvement mindset
