Carer Recruitment and Development Worker
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Carer Recruitment and Development Worker to join our passionate and driven team. In this exciting role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of care within our Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development Team.
This position is part of the Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development team, responsible for attracting, assessing, and supporting new carers, while also empowering and retaining our existing carer community through training and development. You will have the opportunity to connect with communities and make a real impact across Loddon and surrounding areas, as well as travel to other program areas.
You will report directly to the Carer Recruitment and Development Coordinator and be at the forefront of a mission that truly changes lives.
Key Responsibilities

- Empower and retain our existing carer community through training and development

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Children's Services, Welfare Services or equivalent
- Sound professional knowledge and theory base particularly in trauma, attachment, and therapeutic care and assessment and training
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and meeting KPIs while working under pressure (exceptional organisational and administration skills)
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families

Other Requirements
- Valid and current Driver's Licence;

- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
