Early Start sits within the Faculty of Arts, Society and Business. It is a revolutionary initiative that strives to connect research, education, and community to improve the life trajectories of children and their adults across life courses. Early Start supports the positive development of children by delivering research outcomes, and materially influencing public discourse, industry participation and government policy. Early Start is also home to the Early Start Discovery Space, the first dedicated children's museum in the world located on a university campus. The Discovery Space provides interactive experiences, stimulating, evidence informed programs, research translation events, and learn-through-play opportunities for children aged birth to ten and their adults.
About the Role
The Early Start Liaison Officer plays a central role in ensuring the smooth, efficient and professional operation of Early Start. Working closely with the Early Start Executive Team, you will provide highlevel administrative and executive support across a diverse portfolio of research, education, community partnership and facility operations.
The role also oversees the daytoday coordination of Early Start's facilities and operational systems, ensuring spaces such as the Playful Learning Space and Early Start Kitchen run efficiently and safely. You will work closely with coordinator staff and key University divisions to manage bookings, facility access, maintenance, WHS processes and administrative workflows. In addition, you will support financial administration and contribute to the delivery of events at Early Start – inclusive of the Early Start Discovery Space – aligned with the key areas of research, education and community partnership. This is an exciting peoplefocused role that is grounded in building strong, meaningful relationships, proactive problemsolving and exceptional organisational skills.
