About the role:
The nominated role of Painter is an existing role at Smile Painting, and we require a skilled Painter to implement our high-demand projects.
Position Title: Painter (ANZSCO
Location of Employment: 95 Dudley Street, Wallan – Vic 3756
Employment Type: Full Time (38 hours per week) Permanent
Remuneration: $70,000 -$80,000 plus Superannuation
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Painter, your responsibilities will be.
* Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
* Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
* Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
* Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
* Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
* Responsible for maintaining property colour scheme specifications.
* Responsible for maintaining and matching shades of areas.
* Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
* Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
* Coordinate with the vendor to modify paint, stain, or varnish colours.
* Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
* Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to the manager/supervisor.
* Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
Qualifications:
A relevant Certificate III level qualification is required for this role. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant role may substitute but this will be judged on an individual case basis.
Experience:
Past experience gained (post qualification) in the same role for 3 years would be the minimum requirement for the incumbent to have the necessary level of proficiency.
