URGENTLY HIRING – Casual Disability Support Worker (SIL & Complex Needs)

Kustomize Your Supoort is urgently hiring experienced Disability Support Workers to join our professional and supportive team. This is a CASUAL position, with shifts offered across a 7-day roster, and some shifts may be on-call to support urgent and unplanned needs.

About the Role
You will be supporting participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and the community with complex and high-support needs, including:
• SIL support
• Diabetes management (daily monitoring and support)
• Behaviours of concern
• Neurodivergent children and young people
• High and complex mental health needs
This role requires confidence, resilience, excellent communication skills, and strict adherence to Behaviour Support Plans, medical guidance, and NDIS Practice Standards.
Essential Requirements (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Applicants must meet ALL of the following to be considered:
• English as a first language (MANDATORY)
• Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent
• Minimum 1–2 years relevant experience, clearly demonstrated on your resume
• Proven experience working within SIL environments
• Demonstrated experience supporting clients with diabetes
• Demonstrated experience managing behaviours of concern
• Experience supporting neurodivergent children
• Experience supporting individuals with high mental health needs
• Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster
• Strong availability, including weekends
• Ability to accept on-call shifts when required
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently and within a team
• Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen
This position is not suitable for students, newly qualified workers, or applicants without direct SIL and complex-needs experience.
Clearances & Compliance (MANDATORY)
You must hold all current clearances, including:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• National Police Clearance
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Manual Handling (or willingness to obtain immediately)
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
