Central to the role is proactive customer engagement in the field, and a drive to identify & secure business, from both existing & new customers.Based in Melbourne and operating from our office in Burwood East, the role is well supported by talented local management & an experienced internal sales/customer service team, with product management & application engineering support readily accessible via our Sydney HQ.Core elements of the role are;Meeting & exceeding annual Sales & Order Intake targets, which deliver solid year on year revenue growthDeveloping and growing a detailed CRM driven Opportunity pipeline, which tracks progress & drives resultsLong-term customer relationship management, including frequent visits, customer networking, & timely customer service responsesProficient in interacting with both small and large organizations, and skilled in building multi-level and cross-disciplinary relationships within these entitiesUnderstanding our customers' operations and success drivers, and subsequently offering technical and commercial solutions (via proposal) that enhance performance, boost reliability, and fully meet their needsEngaging on customer pain points, and developing engineered solutions which alleviate issues, & improve productivityCollaborating with local and offshore product management teams to provide tailored product presentations and training sessions for key accountsMaximizing sales opportunities by cross selling the full WIKA product portfolioOn-going technical/commercial skills development via our on-line WIKAcademy & peer led trainingRegular travel within VIC, with occasional inter-state & overseas trips for strategy sessions & qualified developmentBenefits and perksWe offer a friendly culture, & the opportunity to work within an organization in growth mode.

Ongoing talent management initiatives provide structured pathways for employees to enhance their professional abilities and progress their careers within WIKA.Skills and experienceWe would like to hear from experienced sales professionals who have the following competencies & experience;Australian residents with a minimum of 5 years' external sales experience, gained while selling industrial products, ideally instrumentation or related technology productsExperience (or specialization) in key market sectors such as Food & Pharmaceutical, Water & Waste Water, Oil & Gas, Power GenerationSkilled in driving business growth through strategic customer account planning and proactive market sector approaches that unlock new opportunitiesAnalytical & collaborative skills which identify new target customers and/or industry opportunities, & qualify these for follow-upThe ability to interpret & convert customer needs into corresponding technical/commercial solutions, which meet key customer needsExpertise in presenting & negotiating technical/commercial solutions, handling exceptions, and closing salesA tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical/electrical) or equivalent industrial instrumentation experienceIntermediate to advanced ERP (SAP/D-365/etc) & MS Office suite skills, along with exposure to CRM strategy & useA self-driven approach, with a solid focus on planning & executing day-to-day activities which deliver tangible revenue-related outcomesPositive attitude, & high energy levelsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesIndustrial Machinery Manufacturing, Measuring and Control Instrument Manufacturing, and Automation Machinery ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at WIKA Group by 2xWe're unlocking community knowledge in a current way.
