Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive
Assistant Facilities Manager
to join our on-site team supporting one of South Australia's most exciting large-scale infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will lead a small team while working closely with the client, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless facilities operations across a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
This is a newly created role, offering the chance to help shape processes during a period of significant site growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day facilities operations and ensure contract KPIs are met
* Manage and mentor a small on-site team
* Coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities via CMMS
* Liaise with the client, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service
* Monitor budgets, review invoices, and assist with reporting
* Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in facilities management, property, or corporate real estate
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Australian citizenship (due to client requirements)
* Proficiency with CMMS systems and MS Office Suite
