The role
Subject to experience, the role provides the opportunity to take on senior functions, supporting our Lead Psychologist, including supervision of junior and provisional psychologists, QA of documents, onboarding and development of team members, and facilitation and development of trainings. The role is designed to be highly varietal and provide a strong foundation for growth into mentoring and leadership responsibilities, with client-facing exposure to a range of presentations and service frameworks in individual sessions, as well as assessment opportunities.
Depending on registration and experience, you will be responsible for:
* Direct face-to-face psychological therapy.
* Provision of effective, evidence-based clinical assessments, therapy, motivational and behavioural counselling to a range of clients (NDIS, Medicare, SA Workers' Compensation, EAP, private assessments).
* Applying appropriate clinical interventions including individualised treatment plans, evidence-based interventions, counselling, and liaison with stakeholders and the wider care team.
* Administering psychometric, behavioural and cognitive assessments and report writing.
* Staff support – mentoring, supervision, QA, onboarding.
* Involvement with planning service and procedural changes to suit contracts and improve internal performance.
* Provision of effective, evidence-based assessments and behavioural interventions to a range of participants.
* Development of interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans that meet NDIS requirements.
* Assessment, monitoring and fade-out planning for restrictive practices.
* Developing customised strategies for individuals with disabilities to address needs, reduce behaviours of concern and reduce restrictive practices.
* Collaborating with participants, families, healthcare professionals, caregivers and service providers to ensure behaviour support plans meet NDIS requirements.
* Providing psycho-cognitive education to participants, families and caregivers.
* Providing implementation training to families and service providers.

About You
Essential
* AHPRA registered - General or Clinical, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
* Skills/knowledge of evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solutions-focused therapy, trauma therapy such as CPT, and other leading evidence-based therapies).
* Past experience providing 1:1 therapy.
* Interest/experience working with adults, young people and children (typically 8–65 years, with occasional referrals for younger clients).
* NDIS worker screening check (or eligible), Working with Children Check & National Police Clearance.
* Own vehicle.
* Professional conduct and positive work behaviours, especially in client communication and expectation management.
* Clear, concise and timely record keeping.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Growth mindset, willingness to learn, and professional development.
* Willingness to participate in peer discussions and team events.
* Demonstrated integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Ability to provide positive referees/references.
Desirable
* Board Approved Supervisor Registration (or eligibility and willingness to complete training).
* Experience delivering psychoeducational/cognitive assessments, ADHD assessments, Autism assessments, functional capacity assessments.
* Experience supervising/supporting psychologists or other mental health professionals.
* Training in EMDR, Schema Therapy, DBT; interest in working with young children, adolescents, neurodivergence and trauma.
