About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing site reliability and maintenance excellence as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer at our Olympic Dam Operation.
* Participate in safety leadership activities and discussions to promote safe working practices across both underground and surface areas, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility.
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to identify failure causes of equipment, develop actions for improvement, and support implementation.
* Develop and optimise maintenance strategies using Reliability Centred Maintenance principles, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
* Provide mechanical engineering expertise and problem-solving support to maintenance teams during breakdowns, shutdowns, and modifications, driving issue resolution and business continuity.
* Analyse condition monitoring results and implement timely actions to mitigate failures, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
* Monitor and analyse failure and delay data to identify performance gaps and initiate improvement initiatives, driving continuous enhancement of equipment reliability.
* Identify and implement reliability and maintainability improvements, aiming for defect elimination and reduced downtime.
* Collaborate on hazard identification, risk assessments, and management of change, prioritising safety and minimising risk.
