Very rarely do you come across a therapy position in private practice. We have a part time (3 days per week) working towards full time dental therapist position available at Encounter Bay Dental. The practice is well established and has a great patient base. You will be working collaboratively with a supportive team of 3 hygienists and 12 dentists.
The role is predominantly focussed on therapy and minimal hygiene. You will be provided mentorship from our senior dentists and an internal hygiene training program starting Feb 2026.
The right candidate would:
* Have relevant qualifications
* Establish a strong relationship with patients, based on trust, knowledge, and genuine care for their well-being.
* Help to support patient care goals, as set out in collaboration with dentists, educate patients and families to understand dental health care issues and maintenance requirements.
* Provide appropriate clinical feedback and monitor patient response for dentist, contributing to future treatment and maintenance plan.
* Have a thorough theoretical and practical working knowledge of infection control policies and practices.
* Participate in continuing education courses and display commitment to developing professional competence.
