- A person who has disability or lived connection to disability
- Who has a great connection with their community
- Who is passionate and motivated to build the confidence of community sport clubs and schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport (playing and non-playing)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply

About Sport4All
The Sport4All (S4A) Program has been commissioned and funded by the Federal Government to build inclusion capability in community and school sport.
The Sport4All (S4A) Program employs local Inclusion Coaches into communities to help sporting clubs and schools to be more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. The program is designed and delivered by Get Skilled Access (GSA).
The program works nationwide through partnerships with local governments, schools, clubs, and disability communities.
Role Location
The Inclusion Coach will be based within Launceston, and work across four local government areas.
About the Inclusion Coach Role
- The ‘Inclusion Coach’ must be a person with disability and/or lived connection to disability who has been involved in sport as a player, volunteer, or administrator.
- The Inclusion Coach will work within the Launceston Region to connect local sporting clubs and schools with the Sport4All website and resources and help them to complete the Sport4All training program.
- The Inclusion coach will use their real-life disability experiences and the experiences of their network to build relationships with the clubs and schools which will help them to understand the purpose of Sport4All and the benefits and opportunities the program can bring.
- The Inclusion Coach will be trained in the Sport4All program at the beginning of the role, with further training and development offered.
- The Inclusion Coach will be managed by the Get Skilled Access Sport4All State Manager in your state.
Key Responsibilities and Activities of the Role:
- Develop a connection with First Nations organisations and the sporting community within your region.
- Connect and work with the Get Skilled Access Sport4All Team
- Understand the S4A program goals and work towards achieving these through working with local sporting clubs and schools.
- Engage clubs and schools with the Sport4All program’s training and resources.
- Create a plan for contacting and keeping connections with sporting clubs and schools for reporting purposes.
- Contribute to S4A program meetings to ensure goals are met and measured.
- Understand and work towards achieving S4A program goals through local councils, sporting clubs and schools.
- Create positive and successful relationships with sporting clubs and schools to bring them into the program.
- Support sporting clubs and schools to work through the Sport4All program.
- Help sporting clubs and schools connect with other relevant organisations to achieve inclusion goals.
- Check in, assess, and support sports clubs, schools, and organisations to create more inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability.
- Support schools and clubs to deliver inclusive sports activities such as sessions and workshops.
- Promote the Sport4All program and educate community groups about benefits of inclusion in sport.
- Share opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities with all community groups, including First Nations people.
- Explore the sporting needs of people with disability within the local community.
- Keep records and data on Sport4All connections and inclusive opportunities, including participation.
- Empower sporting communities to better include people with disability, including First Nations people, in sport.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualities:
- Ability to create strong relationships with the people and groups involved with the Sport4All Program.
- Ability to use a range of communication types to connect with various community groups.
- Robust writing, public speaking and inclusive communication skills.
- Passionate and motivated, with the ability to work independently and be resourceful.
- Ability to connect with grassroots sporting clubs and with teachers, school leadership and staff.
- Ability to plan travel around the local community and manage administration tasks.
- Technology skills to collect and maintain data on Sport4All connections.
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining ongoing communications with clubs, schools, and other stakeholders.

Other Relevant Requirements
- This role may be required to travel within Tasmania.
- May require some work outside ordinary hours, including evenings and weekends to attend meetings and events.
Conditions of Employment
- Right to work in Australia (citizen, permanent residency, or visa permitting work).
- Notify Get Skilled Access if your right to work in Australia ceases during the term of employment.
- Current Working with Children Check (employee)
- Ability to hold and maintain a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment (to be provided by candidate).
