Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant Job Description
Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant to join our team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive specialist services to patients, supporting and training other clinicians in a dynamic multidisciplinary team, and achieving quality education and safe clinical practice.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Providing expert clinical care to patients with complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
* Conducting research and publishing papers on obstetric and gynaecological topics.
* Developing and delivering educational programs for healthcare professionals and students.
* Mentoring junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, or overseas-trained specialist pathways.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Effective clinical communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
