**Job Role:** Media Officer
We are seeking a part-time Media Officer to join our team for an initial 6-month period with possible extension.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
- Assisting with communications for special events
- Updating and monitoring web-based systems for traffic reporting
- Liaising with emergency services and media, exchanging real-time traffic and incident information
- Liaising with media for traffic updates and inquiries
- Assisting with road work communications
**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**
- Building and maintaining meaningful relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and all social media platforms
- Creating and delivering scripts on live radio with confidence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An enthusiastic and creative mindset
- A strong understanding of the metropolitan traffic network and landmarks
- Self-motivation and proactivity
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Flexibility with rosters
