Culinary Leadership Opportunity
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of a Mediterranean-inspired kitchen, focusing on exceptional food preparation and presentation. As a leader in the culinary field, you will oversee menu development, staff training, and quality control to ensure a world-class dining experience.
Skill Requirements
* Previous experience in Mediterranean cuisine in a medium to large restaurant operation is essential.
* An excellent command of English language is necessary.
* Strong leadership and coaching skills are required to motivate and develop team members.
* Good level of computer literacy is expected.
* The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high standard of personal presentation is crucial.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage kitchen operations to meet high standards of food quality and safety.
* Liaise with the Head Chef to plan menus, manage stock rotation, and implement dietary requirements.
* Train and develop junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Monitor and report equipment faults, ensuring prompt action is taken to minimize downtime.
* Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Health and Safety
* Ensure hotel health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Take necessary management actions to prevent workplace injuries and ensure an early return to work for injured staff.
* Undertake risk assessments and implement controls to minimize hazards.
* Provide sufficient and suitable personal protective equipment to team members.
