Job Description The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Strategy & Project Delivery team. This is a senior technical role that provides engineering leadership across complex IT/OT projects, with accountability for design, technical assurance, delivery and transition into operations. The Role As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise across the design and delivery of enterprise systems and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: Technical leadership and engineering ownership of complex IT/OT infrastructure projects End ‑ to ‑ end accountability from Technical design through to operational handover Translating solution architectures into detailed, build ready designs (HLD / LLD) Providing technical assurance, design validation and risk assessment Defining and maintaining technical standards, patterns and reference designs Ensuring delivered solutions are secure ‑ by ‑ design, aligned to Arc Infrastructure’s security standards and the industry standards such as NIST Cyber Security Framework Involvement in operational readiness activities including documentation, support models and BAU transition Technical oversight of vendors and delivery partners Identifying, managing and escalating technical risks during project delivery Contributing to the continuous improvement of Arc Infrastructure’s systems and infrastructure landscape Developing and maintaining technical documentation, processes, test plans and diagrams Mentoring and developing peers The role operates across a broad enterprise environment including technologies such as VMware, Windows Server, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, Fibre Channel SANs, enterprise backup and monitoring platforms, Microsoft 365, Azure, Citrix, and security platforms. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Extensive experience in a senior systems or infrastructure engineering role Proven capability delivering complex infrastructure projects end ‑ to ‑ end Strong expertise across enterprise IT/OT environments, system integration and operational readiness Demonstrated experience with secure ‑ by ‑ design principles and cyber risk mitigation Ability to provide technical leadership, make sound engineering decisions and influence outcomes High attention to detail with strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with architects, project teams and operations A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to engineering excellence Qualifications and Licences Essential: Current C Class Driver’s Licence Desirable certifications include: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Working at Arc Infrastructure Working with us means working in a team environment where each person and team is valued for the diverse skills, ideas and experiences they bring.
