The Southport School is a leading Anglican School for boys and offers an OSHC program as part of its Long Day Care service.
We are currently seeking an experienced Group Leader (or above) qualified Early Childhood Educator to work alongside the OSHC team leader and Director of Preschool to deliver our OSHC and vacation care program for boys aged 4-9 years and who is available for the following shifts commencing 19 June 2026.
* Weekday shifts (Monday to Friday, term time) 3.00pm – 6.00pm in OSHC – Part Time, Term Time Contract
* Additional Contract Hours available in Vacation Care (Monday to Friday, school holidays) 7am – 3pm or 10am – 6pm depending on roster
Qualifications
* Self‐motivated, with effective consultative, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
* Experience interacting with groups of children from 5 – 12 years of age in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner
* Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and documentation
* Strong skills in guiding a team and supporting children with their behavioural needs
* Ability to handle and respond to unforeseen accidents, incidents and emergencies
* Professional conflict resolution skills
* Solid knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Well‐developed emotional intelligence to remain calm and composed at all times
* Ability to positively build effective working relationships with stakeholders
* Working knowledge of Xplor
