Anglicare Southern Queensland's Home and Community service offers a range of supports and assistance to enable our older population to live their best lives in their own homes.
We are looking for a permanent part-time Home Care Worker in the Gold Coast to support and enable our clients to maintain a happy, healthy and independent lifestyle at home. Our office is based in Robina and this position will be across the Tallebudgera, Currumbin, Burleigh, Coolangatta areas.
You will assist with personal grooming and hygiene, medication, transport, social inclusion and domestic duties as required.
About You
* Previous experience in a similar role
* A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of care
* Enjoyment in social activities and one-on-one engagement
* Understanding of physical limitations and a safe, sensible approach
* Strong communication and organisational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacity
Mandatory qualifications:
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Disability Services, Health Services, second year Nursing or similar
* Completion of HLTHPS006 - assist clients with medication (or commitment to obtain)
* Completion of HLTAAP001 - recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)
* A current National Police Certificate
* Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
