Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Systems Specialist to provide exceptional maintenance support for satellite communication systems. The role offers flexibility for newly qualified professionals or experienced specialists who can work independently.
The position involves delivering technical training, maintaining training management packages, and conducting evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provision of specialist on and off-site maintenance services to satellite communication system assets.
* Configuration management support to selected mission systems.
* Warehouse and supply support activities for break-down spares, repairable items, and support and test equipment.
* Ensure compliance with governance and ITAR obligations.
* Produce routine equipment maintenance reports.
* Maintain strong customer relations and participate as a rostered member of the 24/7/365 on-call team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must hold a trade certificate III or IV in communications or electronic engineering.
Senior specialists will have at least three years relevant experience post-qualification.
Proficient knowledge of and experience with terrestrial or satellite communications systems is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel, is also necessary.
