CPP is entering a defining phase of growth in Perth as we establish and scale our Western Australian operations. This expansion reflects a long‐term commitment to building our project delivery and engineering capability from the ground up, forming the inaugural WA operations team. In one of the most important roles CPP will recruit for in Perth, we are looking for an esteemed Senior Project Manager to play a key role in CPP's WA operations, supporting the establishment and growth of our WA delivery team.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations in WA, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects across their full lifecycle — from early‐stage opportunities and ECI through to construction and close‐out. Working closely with engineering, estimating and construction teams, you'll drive safe, commercially sound and high‐quality outcomes while building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
This is a rare greenfield role at a national premium contractor, that offers the opportunity to shape how projects are delivered in WA, contribute to building local capability, and grow with the business as the WA portfolio continues to expand.
The Opportunity
In one of the most important roles CPP will recruit for in Perth, we are looking for a strong Senior Estimator to play a crucial role in setting the estimating standard in WA.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations in WA, you'll be responsible for developing robust, bottom‐up estimates across a portfolio of projects — from early‐stage opportunities and ECI through to tender submission and handover to delivery teams. Working closely with engineering, project management and procurement, you'll ensure pricing is accurate, defensible and aligned with CPP's delivery methodology.
This is a rare greenfield opportunity within a national premium contractor, offering the chance to set estimating standards in WA, build benchmarks that strengthen how we price and win work, and ultimately grow with the business.
Key responsibilities
* Build and own bottom-up estimates for multi-discipline EPC projects
* Prepare and coordinate tender submissions, RFQs and pricing schedules
* Interpret designs/constructability inputs and convert engineering into costed scope
* Engage suppliers/subcontractors to validate pricing and procurement assumptions
* Establish WA benchmarks and continuously improve estimate accuracy (actuals vs estimate feedback)
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Essential: 8+ years' senior-level estimating experience on large-scale EPC projects, with exposure to multi-discipline scopes (e.g., electrical, civil, plant, labour, logistics)
* Essential: proven capability in granular, bottom-up estimating
* Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, including HV substations, and transmission networks
* Ability to interpret engineering designs and understanding of how design decisions drive cost
* Leadership style aligned to building a high-performance culture in a new, growing office
