📢 We're Hiring! Urgent Vietnamese Speaking Disability Support Worker Role
Are you a compassionate, attentive, and dedicated individual who is fluent in Vietnamese and passionate about making a real difference? We are seeking an experienced Vietnamese-speaking Disability Support Worker to join our growing team, with an immediate in-home support opportunity available in Inala.
You will be providing one-on-one, in-home support to a participant, delivering personalised and culturally appropriate care. This role involves medium to long-term shifts and plays a vital role in supporting the participant to maintain independence, develop daily living skills, and enhance overall wellbeing within their home environment.
✅ Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored, one-on-one support to individuals both at home and in the community.
* Assist with daily living activities and routines
* Assist participants with identifying and engaging in community activities that support independence and personal growth.
* Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of those in your care at all times.
* Collaborate with families, coordinators, and allied health professionals to implement care plans effectively.
* Maintain clear, accurate documentation and incident reporting.
* Communicate effectively in Vietnamese and English, as required
🧩 What We're Looking For
* Fluent in Vietnamese (spoken and understood)
* Previous experience working in-home, SIL, community access, or disability support roles (preferred).
* Relevant certifications (e.g. Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or similar).
* Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, a proactive attitude reliable and professional approach.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to participant needs.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Must have or be willing to obtain: NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), Working With Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid & CPR, Driver’s License, and reliable transport.
