Our Administration Team provides outstanding customer care to patients and their families. We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work on a full‐time basis alongside our established team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Wards. This is a great role for an experienced and patient‐care focused individual.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
As an Administration Officer, we need you to perform a broad range of administration duties and demonstrate essential skills:
* Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork.
* Conduct follow‐up requests and make reminder calls for visits.
* Maintain accurate and effective record‐management systems, including preparation of medical records.
* Perform Health Fund Checks (as required).
* Manage the collection of excesses/co payments.
* Coordinate with staff from other departments.
* Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry.
* Greet all patients and families.
* Answer and redirect calls.
* Handle enquiries with a friendly and professional manner.
* Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as Private Practice billing.
* Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records.
* Demonstrate experience in administrative tasks with a customer‐focused approach.
* Prove flexibility and reliability.
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal and professional communication and liaison skills.
* Show demonstrated written communication skills.
* Apply initiative and the ability to problem‐solve.
* Display highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
* Pay strong attention to detail.
* Demonstrate the ability to work within a team structure in a multi‐disciplinary environment, treating everyone with courtesy and respect, and responding positively to requests for assistance.
* Use patient information and record systems with a commitment to patient confidentiality.
* Have strong computer skills and a willingness to learn and use patient‐management systems and databases.

* WebPas hospital system experience.
* Medical secretary experience.
