Project Values range up to $200m contract value and include residential, townhouse developments, multi-storey residential, hotels, offices and warehouses. The Opportunity: If you’re a Senior Estimator from a Tier 1, 2 or 3 builder who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to price complex D&C projects, this is a role where you’ll be challenged, trusted and rewarded for your expertise. This is not a volume estimating role. You’ll be working on technically diverse projects, driving tender outcomes and playing a key role in commercial strategy and delivery success. This is a role for a commercially sharp, delivery-focused Senior Estimator who wants to operate at a high level, with real influence over tenders, pricing strategy, and project outcomes. Why this role stands out: Exposure to complex projects across multiple building classes High level of ownership across tenders and pricing strategy Work closely with senior leadership on commercial outcomes Opportunity to influence systems, processes and team capability About the role: You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, commercially robust estimates across a diverse portfolio, ensuring pricing aligns with design intent, buildability, and margin expectations. Operating in a design & construct environment, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external consultants to resolve scope, manage risk, and position tenders competitively. This is a high-performance environment, suited to someone who is comfortable working to deadlines, managing multiple tenders and operating under pressure when required. Key responsibilities: Project Estimating & Cost Management: Prepare, review and deliver accurate project estimates using estimating systems Benchmark costings against historical data and industry standards Maintain cost catalogues, labour rates and standard design estimates Provide variation pricing and cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle Monitor the estimate to actual variance and implement corrective strategies Tender & Opportunity Management: Lead tender preparation, submission and commercial handover processes Analyse RFT documentation and identify scope gaps and risk exposure Develop clarifications, exclusions and competitive differentiators Coordinate tender timelines and internal resources Manage early contractor involvement and concept stage costings Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with procurement, sales, design, production and finance teams Coordinate with internal and external designers to resolve scope and documentation Align estimates with procurement budgets and delivery constraints Engage consultants where required for technical validation Systems & Process Improvement: Standardise and improve estimating templates and workflows Maintain estimating systems and ensure data integrity Leverage analytics for forecasting, pricing strategy and risk modelling Drive improvements in estimate accuracy and reporting transparency What you’ll bring: Experience working with a Tier 1, 2 or 3 construction business in QLD Strong Design & Construct (D&C) project experience Experience across building classes 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9 would be highly advantageous Proven experience as a Senior Estimator, including mentoring or leading a small team, would be highly advantageous (as this role has career progression opportunities for the right candidate) Strong commercial acumen with advanced cost planning capability Ability to work across multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines Comfortable working in a high-performance environment with competing priorities Strong stakeholder engagement skills across internal teams and consultants Highly regarded: Experience with CostX or similar estimating software Experience coordinating closely with internal and external design teams Exposure to early contractor involvement and concept stage estimating Experience in improving estimating systems, workflows or processes Key Benefits: Highly competitive and market-leading salary package of up to $250k Super Annual Bonus monthly mobile phone allowance.
