About the role
Our Orthopaedic Specialist Practice is located in Cooks Hill, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team of dynamic, professional and passionate individuals. This is a part time position hours/week) that will play an important role in supporting the administration and clinical team to ensure exceptional first-class, patient-centered services are provided.
Administrative responsibilities
* Providing exceptional service to patients during clinics and over the phone
* Exceptional and professional communication with partnering services
* Scheduling and managing patient appointments
* Assisting patients with paperwork
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Handling medical correspondence and transcriptions
* Typing medical dictations
* Assisting with billing during clinics
* Working collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive Administration Team
Essential skills/experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical administration role.
* Ability to work under pressure and multitask while demonstrating a strong ability to prioritise and organise effectively.
* Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with patients and partnering services.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure patient records/files are accurate and up to date.
* Experience with Clinic to Cloudor other similar medical practice software.
* Thorough understanding of, and meeting confidentiality requirements associated with recording and maintaining patient, practice and service information
* Ability to follow directions and work independently/part of a team effectively.
Hours and renumeration
* Part time: 24-28 hours/week. Expected to be available for some early starts (8am) OR late finishes (6pm)
* Wage: $32-$37/hour (determined by experience and skill set)
