Base pay range

A$80,000.00/yr - A$90,000.00/yr

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Alumni Assistant to join our team and support engagement with our vibrant alumni and supporter community.


About the role

* Customer experience: Managing the alumni and supporter hotline and email inbox, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally via verbal and written communication.
* Data administration: Updating our alumni database, maintaining accurate records, and generating reports to support our campaigns.
* Program/Project support: Providing administrative support for a range of alumni engagement programs including but not limited to reunions, mentoring and faculty events.


About you

* Has excellent customer services skills and will keep searching for answers to support our alumni.
* Has exceptional organisational and time‑management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work within often very tight deadlines.
* Has strong competence in the Microsoft Office suite, learns quickly and is comfortable using a range of tools and systems to update the database, source information, create emails and images or produce reports.
* Brings a can‑do attitude and a proactive approach to their work.
* Has excellent attention to detail.
* Enjoys working collaboratively but can also take initiative and work independently.
* Is highly creative and can generate ideas and think outside the box.
* Team player.

About us

This role sits within the Global Campaigns and Volunteers team. The team, in many respects, is the face of Alumni and Supporter Experience, being the first port of call for our alumni enquiries via the alumni inbox and phone line. This team is responsible for driving mass and bespoke connections with the University's 470,000+ alumni through domestic and international campaigns, and best‑practice volunteering models. The team supports faculty‑related event and program requests.

The team supports University wide initiatives and surveys and drives alumni connections via reunion activities and volunteering opportunities such as mentoring. We develop experiential campaigns to engage our alumni around the world via our digital channels, local events, and with opportunities to reconnect on campus.

The wider team is the Alumni and Supporter Experience team which engages with alumni and the broader community through a wide range of communications, events, community giving and engagement programs.
