Job Title: Associate to District Court Judge
We are seeking highly motivated law students or graduates to fill a key role in the administration of justice. The successful candidate will have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to build professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare files for hearings and perform statutory duties as Clerk of Arraigns under the Criminal Procedure Act 2004 (WA)
* Liaise with members of the legal profession and provide information and assistance to various persons involved in court processes
* Undertake other tasks such as legal research, summaries, and general administrative support using an electronic case management system
* Manage court diaries and provide bespoke technical and administrative support to a District Court Judge
Candidates work closely with judges and gain valuable experience and skills in the justice system.
Requirements:
* Progress toward or achievement of a qualification in law
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency
