Netwealth's Finance team sits at the centre of operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, from financial reporting through to how we pay and support our people.
We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in a full‐time, permanent role. This is a pivotal position responsible for the end‐to‐end payroll function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for employees.
You'll be stepping into a role that is both operational and collaborative. You'll partner closely with Finance and People & Culture, navigate complex payroll scenarios, and play a key role in maintaining trust through getting the detail right.

Key Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end payroll processing across regular, off‐cycle, and termination payments
* Ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and back payments
* Managing payroll compliance across tax, superannuation, STP, and industrial relations requirements
* Interpreting awards, entitlements, and statutory obligations
* Maintaining payroll data and employee records in Workday
* Reconciling payroll accounts, including PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and WorkCover
* Supporting month‐end activities, reporting, and payroll journals
* Administering employee benefits and salary sacrifice arrangements (e.g. novated leases, commuter club)
* Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
* Supporting audits, year‐end processes, and regulatory submissions
About You
* Proven experience in end‐to‐end payroll processing
* Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation, superannuation, and payroll tax
* Experience interpreting awards and employment entitlements
* Solid understanding of Single Touch Payroll (STP) and ATO compliance requirements
* Experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and year‐end processes
* Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
* Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
* Experience with Workday (strongly preferred)
