Motion, a leading industrial products distributor, seeks a skilled and reliable Hose Assembly Technician to join our team in Thornton. As a key member of our dynamic workforce, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality hose assemblies while maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and testing hose assemblies according to Australian Standards, performing workshop duties, and supporting the warehouse and customer service teams as required. This includes picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in hose assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is preferred but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of workshop procedures and safety practices is necessary.
* A forklift licence would be advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
* Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks including lifting items over 25kg, reaching, twisting, and pushing trolleys is crucial.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
