About the role
Rostrevor Group is seeking a skilled and experienced FIFO Fitter/Boilermaker to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mining projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a FIFO Fitter/Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and machinery at our sites located in Adelaide, South Australia.
What you'll be doing
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of mining equipment and machinery
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment, and implement solutions in a timely manner
3. Fabricate and weld components as required to maintain and upgrade equipment
4. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and procedures
5. Provide support and mentorship to junior team members
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and practices
What we're looking for
1. Qualified Fitter/Boilermaker with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role
2. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and equipment used in the mining industry
3. Strong fabrication and welding skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
4. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
5. Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
6. Ability to work effectively in a team and provide mentorship to junior team members
7. Valid driver's licence and the ability to work on a FIFO basis
