We are currently seeking a Sales Executive to join our Higher Education sales team at Cengage. In this role, you will contribute to sales and promote award-winning products to Vocational Education and Training (VET) accounts in your allocated territory. We predict growth in our VET business and are investing accordingly.
As a valuable member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships, recognizing sales opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service. If you are a sales hunter who takes initiative and excels in communication and pipeline management, we want to hear from you!
The position offers a generous on-target incentive plan. A company car or car allowance is also included.
What you’ll do here:
- Engage VET staff within your allocated territory, to promote and sell Cengage products and solutions
- Identify and prospect new customers
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Present product information and perks to customers
- Negotiate and close deals
- Ensure CRM is updated regularly and appropriately with all interactions, territory records, and sales
- Some travel required, but you will predominantly work from home
Skills you will need:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the educational sector
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Proactive and dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Proficient in using Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
