Geotechnical Engineering Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineering Technician to join our growing consulting geotechnical engineering team on the Gold Coast.
The position is based at our Coomera office and requires a strong team player with a high level of initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to communicate well with staff and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Undertaking field and laboratory based testing and assessments of soils and construction materials
* Conducting inspections of civil and geotechnical works on site, and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders
* Gathering, evaluating and interpreting technical data, including carrying out necessary calculations, and preparing relevant documentation
* Understanding task requirements, planning appropriately, and executing work efficiently and effectively
* Managing project timelines and budgets to ensure deliverables are met within specifications
* FOLLOWING ALL RELEVANT WORK PROCEDURES, SAFETY STANDARDS AND QUALITY SYSTEMS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE THROUGHOUT PROJECT ACTIVITIES
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum of 1 year of relevant full-time experience, in addition to formal qualifications
* In some cases, a number of (3-5) years fulltime employment may be considered in place of formal qualifications
* Strong technical, communications and report writing skills
* High attention to detail and sound judgement
