Job Overview

The Connected Beginnings Project Director is a high-impact leadership role that oversees the strategic and operational delivery of the Connected Beginnings initiative. The ideal candidate will have a passion for equity, creativity, and persistence in their work.

This role reports to the General Manager and requires strong collaboration skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including families, government, health, education, and social services.


About You

* You hold tertiary qualifications and significant experience in education, community development, communications, change management, social services, health, business, or related areas.
* You have demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership, designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring using a data-driven approach.
* You possess a proven ability to build capacity and think strategically at organisational and systemic levels over multi-year horizons.
* You can lead and work in a highly functional team environment with high-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, resolving conflicts effectively.
* You have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, particularly rural and remote areas, fostering mutual respect.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide adaptive leadership across the team and community.
* Facilitate collaboration between services and organisations to reduce duplication.
* Build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including families, government, health, education, and social services.
* Convene and guide cross-sector forums, learning sessions, and strategy workshops.
* Drive systemic advocacy to improve policies and long-term outcomes.
* Coordinate reporting, funding opportunities, and stakeholder communications.
* Represent the organisation at Connected Beginnings forums and regional/national events.
