The Big Banana Fun Park is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to assist the Head Chef in leading the kitchen brigade at our "Going Bananas" Café.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting the effective operation of a kitchen in a similar environment and thrive as part of a passionate team.

THE ROLE:
This is very much a "hands on" role, so you must have the ability to work fast, efficiently and under pressure. This position is generally daytime only, with no split shifts, but nighttime events and functions do arise from time to time.
We expect the applicant to have a solid understanding of the skills and abilities needed to run a successful kitchen and produce fresh, tasty and value for money cuisine for our casual dining environment.
The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:
* Experience working in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
* Safety focused, preferably with a food safety certificate.
* Possess excellent communication skills and work closely with the Head Chef and Cafe Manager to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
* Able to assist in leading, training and motivating a kitchen team, and develop a good working relationship with the front of house team and all other departments throughout the Fun Park.
* Well presented; both you and your cuisine.
* Must be available to work across of a roster of weekdays and weekends as well as school holidays.
* You must have attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of food standards are achieved.
* Prior knowledge and experience with stock ordering and stock control is essential.
