About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Finance Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of financial operations, improving processes, and supporting business decision-making.
You’ll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day finance functions while working closely with leadership to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial management.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, Payroll
* Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements
* Manage BAS, GST, and other statutory compliance requirements
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Reconcile accounts and maintain the general ledger
* Support audit processes and liaise with external accountants
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Provide guidance and support to junior finance staff
About You
* Proven experience in a similar senior finance or accounting role
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax requirements
* Experience with BAS, payroll, and financial reporting
* High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple entities (preferred)
* Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Excel
