About the Job
Our ideal candidate will be a skilled craftsman with extensive experience in vehicle body repair and panel beating. As a key member of our workshop staff, they will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet of vehicles is maintained to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing damage to bus body panels and structures, providing accurate estimates for repair work. This will involve removing and replacing damaged panels, hoods, fenders, and other body components using hand and power tools.
Additionally, they will straighten and repair bent or damaged frame and body structure, perform welding and fabrication work as needed, blend and finish repaired areas, and prepare and clean all surfaces prior to paint application.
Key responsibilities will include:
