**The Opportunity**
The Service Manager People Performance will ensure the team provides consistent, expert, value-adding people and culture business partnering support to the organisation's employees and leaders. You will drive a high performing and innovative culture where employees are forward thinking, engaged and focused on enriching the community.
Your role will act as a conduit between the organisation at the local level and the People, Culture and Organisational Performance Group, managing the business partnering function, contributing knowledge of contemporary organisational trends and issues to the development of People and Culture initiatives, and supporting their implementation in the business. You will be key to developing and sustaining productive internal and external relationships and understanding both business unit and organisational business drivers, strategy and priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and management, and support the professional development of the People Performance team through effective and consistent case management across all portfolios;
- Act as the point of escalation for all senior leaders for advice on case management, and provide advice to Partners on case management, interpretation and implementation of Council policies and procedures from a practical perspective;
- Build capability within the team in analysing workforce data to identify trends and 'hot spots' and proactively target interventions in collaboration with area leadership teams / business unit managements;
- Set performance objectives for the team and individuals, monitor performance and provide frequent feedback, and agree to and implement individual development plans to increase professional expertise;
- Participate as a member of the People, Culture and Organisational Performance team to contribute to budget management, strategic planning and lead activities in line with Council's strategy.
**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Business Partner role, leading service provision in generalist HR areas including talent management, workforce strategy and planning, organisational culture, employment relations, industrial relations, people capability, performance leadership, employee relations, organisational design, organisational change, reward and recognition;
- Demonstrated high level communication to consult, negotiate, and influence at an individual employee, team and management level;
- Demonstrated success in implementing and evaluating contemporary human resource strategies, programs and initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and organisational performance and outcomes;
- Ability to manage budgeting, planning and reporting functions of significant work area to ensure the contribution of the team is visible and valued;
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations or related business management discipline.
