About The Role
This operational support involves working under pharmacist supervision to prepare medications, dispense prescriptions, and maintain accurate pharmacy records.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispensing Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) medications safely and accurately.
* Assisting pharmacists with prescription preparation and managing inpatient supplies efficiently.
* Maintaining accurate medication records through data entry and ensuring the integrity of pharmacy data.
About You
We are seeking an ideal candidate who possesses the following skills and qualifications:
* Able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
* Willingness to take initiative and work under pharmacist direction to achieve responsibilities.
* Familiarity with Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), Special Authority Schemes (SAS), LAM, iPharmacy, and eLMs.
* Understanding of Queensland health pharmacy policies and procedures.
* Ability to interpret prescriptions and understand relevant abbreviations.
* Awareness of current legislation governing dispensing processes.
* Knowledge of ward stock systems, stock control, and expiry date monitoring.
Mandatory Requirements
* Up-to-date vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases.
* Holding a Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalent certification.
