Yea & District Memorial Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced nursing leader to join our team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager / After Hours Coordinator (ANUM/AHC). In this pivotal position, you will provide clinical leadership, coordinate patient care, and support the effective operation of the unit. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure safe, high‐quality care and smooth day‐to‐day functioning of the service, making every day meaningful and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high‐quality, person‐centred clinical care that transforms patient experiences
* Provide inspiring leadership, supervision and support to nursing staff
* Coordinate ward activities including patient care, medication administration, medical rounds and discharge planning
* Ensure effective clinical handover and accurate, timely documentation
* Support care for patients with complex health and social needs
* Assist with orientation of new staff and students, shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals
* Facilitate referrals and communication with internal and external health providers
* Respond to feedback and elevate safety concerns appropriately
* Ensure compliance with infection control, NSQHS Standards and organisational policies
* Contribute to accreditation, quality improvement and incident management initiatives
* Assist with performance reviews, recruitment and workforce planning
* Lead emergency procedures and support operational readiness
* Deputise for the Nurse Unit Manager when required, showcasing your leadership capabilities
* Manage a designated clinical or operational portfolio, driving innovation and excellence
