Client Details We are seeking a Japanese Speaking Finance Manager for one of the global Japanese company. The company is based in Sydney, with several branches across Australia- Melbourne, Perth and Papua New Guinea. You will be responsible for comprehensive operation of the company including finance, accounting, taxation, and compliance. Hybrid working environment. Description Your key duties are following but not limited to: Supervise operation tasks related to loan funding settlements for group companies Supervise cashflow and funds management with Bank, including foreign currency management Manage and oversee cash pooling operations, including coordination with HQ and participating group entities, and ensure efficient inter-company and bank funding activities. Assist group companies' shared service activities such as banking, accounting and tax Manage and support international tax compliance, including transfer pricing, by coordinating both Australia Head office and group entities, including coordination with HQ Manage and support various domestic tax compliance including PAYG, BAS, Corporate tax, and FBT Liaise with external auditors and tax agents Assist monthly/quarterly/annual management reports preparation including income tax and deferred tax calculation Prepare statutory financial statements Being involved with various finance and process improvement projects Ensure compliance with J-SOX and other corporate governance requirements for listed entities Manage overdue account receivable list including credit insurance Prepare and review of general journal entries and accruals Assist internal audit procedures Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts Overseeing and implementing compliance protocols Provide support to group companies Profile In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths: Strong accounting and finance knowledge with analytical skills Strong tax knowledge and experience with APA (Advance Pricing Arrangement), Transfer Pricing, Multiple entry consolidated group (MEC) income tax return will be highly regarded Knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning ("ERP") system is a plus Ability to handle stress, being proactive and taking initiative at work in a stretched environment Strong knowledge of financial derivatives (i.e. FX experience will be highly regarded) Proficiency in Microsoft Office CPA or CA holder Must be fluent in Japanese and English Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work within a team and independently Job Offer Please register your interest in this role by forwarding your resume via the apply button.
