Working as the Sales Engineer for grid stability and power systems you will be joining one of the world's leading suppliers of electromechanical equipment and services for hydropower stations in the dynamically growing global renewable energy market. We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team and be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimisation of power systems within grid stability across a range of projects within Australia. Utilising your technically skilled and customer-focused mindset you will lead sales and tendering activities for our grid stability solutions.
Responsibilities
* Support and drive sales of grid stability equipment and energy generation / storage plants (e.g. synchronous condenser equipment, [e]STATCOMS, GIS, circuit breakers, inverter technologies) by identifying opportunities, engaging with clients, and delivering tailored solutions.
* Develop and review electrical design documentation, including single line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, design, and delivery of power system projects.
* Assist in the integration of renewable energy sources (e.g. solar, wind, hydro) into the grid.
* Development of supply chains for syncon integrated plant solutions
* Work with stakeholders to define system requirements, technical standards, and project deliverables.
* Take ownership of sales targets, contribute to strategic account planning, and support favourable contract negotiations and terms.
* You will ensure adherence to safety, integrity, and quality standards, and maintain accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management tools, meeting reporting KPIs.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's Degree in Power System Engineering / Electrical Engineering / or similar discipline (required).
* Demonstrated experience in technical sales or engineering within the high voltage (HV), protection systems, and substations industry.
* Extensive knowledge in technologies for grid stability, such as GFM, GFL, BESS, (e)-STATCOMs, syncon solutions.
* Proven knowledge of power system analysis software such as DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSSE/PSCAD, or similar.
* Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management tools and Advanced MS 365 skills with a high level of computer literacy.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with internal / external customers, clients and colleagues across departments.
* The ability to take initiative and drive continuous improvements with minimal supervision.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse and solve problems efficiently.
