We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Operations Employee to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Civil Operations Team and play a vital role in maintaining the presentation, safety, and functionality of community infrastructure.
This position undertakes various tasks including concreting, civil works, street signage, line marking, road works, waste services, footpath and road verge maintenance, jetties, boat ramps, and coastal infrastructure cleaning. The ideal candidate will have skills in operation and basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
* Street signage, line marking, and road works
* Footpath and road verge maintenance and repairs
* Maintenance of jetties, boat ramps, and other coastal infrastructure
* Cleaning, graffiti removal, and general labouring tasks
* Operation and basic maintenance of plant and equipment
* Construction of Council infrastructure including general civil groundwork, concrete footpaths, kerbs, furniture installations, installation of bollards and fencing, cleaning, patching drainage pits, basic asphalting skills, and general labouring duties
The successful applicant will actively participate in training and WHS programs as required. They will report incidents, near misses, injuries, property damage, and identified hazards and take reasonable care to protect their own safety and the health and safety of others.
