Job tasks and responsibilities
Whitsunday Anglican School is currently seeking applications for a permanent part-time minibus driver to assist with driving our Boarding students to and from different activities and sporting commitments. You will be required to safely operate a minibus and ensure the wellbeing of students at all times. Shifts are varied across Monday to Sunday, with the possibility of split shifts during term time. There may also be opportunities to undertake additional duties within the Boarding House, including Boarding House Supervisor responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
* Complete driving tasks as directed by the Head of Boarding.
* Prioritise student safety at all times while picking up, dropping off, and transporting students.
* Work a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday, including occasional split shifts during term time.
Skills and experience
Candidate Profile:
* Hold a valid open driver’s licence.
* Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work varied hours.
* Clean driving record with no prior disqualifications.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong commitment to student care and safety.
* Positive, “can do” attitude.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Effective time management skills.
* Willingness to undertake a driving competency test prior to appointment.
