About the Role
As the Family Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families to transition into school, establish positive attendance and behaviour patterns, and access external services to reduce barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with external partners to drive positive outcomes for families and children.
Work with school staff to understand students' needs and connect families with relevant services.
Build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community services.
Facilitate access to specialist interventions and support engagement with the NDIS.
Use data to assess the effectiveness of support measures and improve student outcomes.
About You
Experience working with vulnerable children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with students, families, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of early childhood services and transition processes into primary education.
Ability to identify and connect families with appropriate government and non-government services.
Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
Possess a current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services.
Possess a current driver's licence.
Be available to work some after-hours as required.
Be willing and able to travel as required.
